#Box

I cannot stop thinking.
Keep hyperventilating,
Sniper won’t quit waiting,
Steely eyes unblinking,
Laser lights keep winking,
Disco ball spins and swings.
Midnight doesn’t change a thing.

There’s a crocodile on the dance floor.
This was gonna be fun, but my knees are sore,
Been crawling about, keeping one eye on the door,
Dinosaurs dancing on pumpkin patchwork,
Deny, defy dentists with dishonest scorn.
Identify, idealize, idiosyncratic lore.

Madness, gibberate my malady,
Malignant lies spin wild, imbridle me,
Middling smiles reduced to Why Me’s,
Immoral money mindset memorized the dream,
Mailed the peppermints to Monday at 3.
I’ma make this make sense, if I hafta make thirty.

Narcissism is for criticism,
Just a farce to create a schism,
Pardon skims above religion,
Fathoms since, we’ll find a new prescription,
Discrimination is self-fulfilled poison,
Nobody was racist before we learned self-defense.

This is called a box,
It fits right over top
Of everything you thought
Was important to your walk.
We’ll ignore your need for thought,
Delete the word “idea” from your mind,
Replace it with “I think” and Facebook likes,
Write it in bright ink, these social network lies,
Hide it behind a hashtag, just addressing the sky.
